Okay, there’s no way I’m moving to St. Paul, Minnesota. In the Asthma Family’s continuing quest for a good place to move, I’m afraid Minnesota is just too damn cold.
I’m loving the news about their Healthy Learner program in schools, though. Such an innovative idea, to coordinate kids’ asthma care and education among the school, parents, and the students. My Asthma Girl is in total control of her symptoms and treatment, but I know other kids are not so lucky.
Plus, I’d be ecstatic if her school implemented a program like this so that everyone involved in her care had better communication. Asthma Girl’s school is a good one, but the disconnect between her teacher’s and the school nurse’s knowledge of her asthma is disturbing sometimes.
