Okay, I pretty much never send Christmas cards because I suck. I’d like to say I’ve made the conscious, eco-friendly decision to reduce waste by forgoing the holiday card tradition, but really that’s just a happy side effect of my forgetting and my inability to plan ahead.
But if I did send these hypothetical cards, I’d order them from the American Lung Association because 20% of the sales in its holiday stores will go toward its programs for asthma and lung research and education.
I love the American Lung Association. It’s such a multi-tasker, trying to prevent lung disease and support better air quality and all that, and I’d love to give them lots of money if I could also continue paying my mortgage. Since I have more time than money, I’ve been a team leader for the big ALA Asthma Walk fundraiser twice and will do so again this spring.
If you’re the opposite of me in terms of both finances and organizational skills, check out the ALA Holiday Card Store and know that your purchase might just help someone like Asthma Girl keep breathing.

I like the enviro friendly excuse for not sending christmas cards since the reason I don’t send them is just because I’m sorry!!! If I change my mind I will certainly purchase from the ALA.
Yes, let’s all save the environment and stop worrying about these silly cards! But if you don’t buy Christmas cards, then donate some money to the ALA instead, LOL.
