I can take my own hint.
After pushing Friday Links to the weekend for the past 2 weeks, I’ve decided to move the feature to Saturdays from now on. That’s where it usually ends up, anyway. Plus, rather than use Saturday Links to describe new additions to the sidebars, I’m also going to include interesting bits from the previous week that won’t be permanent links.
The Links
1. Did you know the AAFA has an Asthma and Allergy Friendly Certification Program to find stuffed animals, bedding, paint, and other products for people with asthma and allergies?
2. It’s Asthma Walk time again. This is the American Lung Association’s annual event for fundraising and asthma awareness, and you can help. I’ve participated twice as a team leader, but I may contact my local chapter to volunteer rather than put a team together this year. When you check out the link, why not consider volunteering at your local event, putting a team together, or donating to the cause? Pass the link around to family and friends, too, and tell them to open up their checkbooks.
3. The FDA recently approved Alvesco, an inhaled corticosteroid, for the United States.
4. Finally, this blog has quite a few readers with children on the autism spectrum. Help raise money for these disorders by watching this video and passing the link along. Each time someone watches, Five for Fighting will generously donate $0.49 to Autism Speaks, the world’s largest autism advocacy organization.
Remember Five for Fighting’s very awesome Superman (It’s Not Easy)?

I visited your asthma mom store thinking you were selling t-shirts or nebulizer cozies! I’m such a dork! However, perhaps you could produce a product line with proceeds to asthma research. Dang! I’d be a lifelong customer!
What a great idea! You rock!
