I’m finally unpacked and caught up on both sleep and laundry from my weekend in New Orleans, so now I’m catching up on the computer. In the spirit of true free time, I left my laptop home for the entire weekend and while I’m paying for it today, the break was totally worth it. But I’m happy to be back home and back online. Right before I left the city, I spoke to my single, childless twin brother on the phone. He said,
Don’t you hate going out of town sometimes, though? Because you always have to come back to your real life and your real problems?
And I said,
Clearly, you’ve never vacationed with children.
The girls actually travel well—they have to, living in such a nomadic family—but kids are kids, and New Orleans is walk-heavy like any other major city, and let’s face it:
2 kids + 1 hotel room = not much rest for light sleepers.
And I’m the very definition of a light sleeper.
So.
I’m back, I’ve slept, the Asthma Mom blog is back, and a post on the Audubon Zoo will be up just as soon as I size all my photos. Hope you enjoy it.
