So.
(glances up at spiffy new header)
Is Asthma Mom looking good or what?
As for the weekly links, Earth Day is April 22, and most cities host some kind of green festival or celebration this weekend. I’ve exhausted the topic recently of why air quality and climate change are maybe even more relevant topics to asthma families than others, so if you want to know why Earth Day’s important in this house, I’ll direct you here.
Festivals are fun, but actually making some sustainable changes is even better. Some constructive ways to celebrate Earth Day this week:
Sign this Global Warming Petition
“The Sky Belongs to All of Us,” says the Earth Day Network, and it’s sending this petition to Congress, asking for a greenhouse emissions cap and other global warming measures. Why not sign it? This Asthma Mom did.
Sierra Club Videos: How to Save Energy at Home
Owen Bailey installs a low-flow showerhead, a wrap for the water heater, and a programmable thermostat. Plus, he composts.
Chase Will Pay the World Wildlife Fund for You to Go Paperless
Simple, right? Switch from paper to online statements by April 30, and Chase donates five bucks to the WWF.

Who loves Asthma Mom’s new header???
I do! I do!
That font is to die for!
Wow! Great new header Amy!!! LOVE IT!!!
Way to go!
Hey AG, is that a salute to the infamous Super Troopers ‘Mustache ride’ scene? If so I LOVE IT!
Oh yeah, the header looks good Amy
.
Hey, thanks. My idea, but purely Mr. Asthma Mom’s execution. Glad you guys like it. (G&W, no idea what you’re referencing, but that’s b/c I’m not a Super Troopers fan, lol)
Great suggestions. I’m heading off to sign the petition now.
PS: Love the new header.
I helped build a nature trail today – actually part of the rail to trail system. (patting myself on the back)
It always feels strange, however, to cut down trees and lay down gravel so that we can..um…enjoy the….trees. I guess if we didn’t make the public trail safe and all that, people would sue the Town and then we’d never build nature trails and that would be worse, right?
Anywho, Happy Earth Day!
