I’ve read about the c-sections thing before, but I was born 10 wks early by emergency c-section. After reading that right after my first possible diagnosis I was just like “Figures!”

I’m pretty sure—although not positive–the risk only holds true for baby/early childhood development since the most prevalent theory involves exposure to “mom germs” during delivery.

I’m in agreement on the shopping thing. I hate the data on the c-sections as my youngest was delivered that way, and with her current disabilities, asthma would be a real issue if she developed it.

I love the immune cells story. Science can be a wonderful thing!

Ooh, I like “violently.” Pretty much sums up my feelings about the story, too (although Jezebel, where I originally read the story, is pretty awesome). I love the quote in the story that brags how there’s not other problem like it in the country—as my best friend said, “Um, that’s a good thing!”

Yikes – so much good info – where to start? I do violently agree (hmm sounds like a good adverb) with your feeling about targeting 6 year old little girls and turning them into Jezebels (oh, excuse me, fashion princesses). Absolutely ridiculous!!! I hope that woman has a house full of girls who all max out their credit cards at a competitor’s shopping mall. So there!

C-sections I also agree with. Think I commented a while back on that one too.

Cancer cure with patient’s own immune cells? Wow – now that’s real progress. Hope we see more of that.
