Friday Links: Asthma Mom Blogaversary & Self-Promotion

Whew.

(wipes forehead)

What a week, huh? The news of my little blog’s anniversary sure pales next to all the bailout coverage and the VP debate last night. (Love you, Joe Biden, and the Ultimate Bridge to Nowhere.) A 5K tax credit for health insurance? AG can rack up that amount in her sleep. Literally.

As far as today’s links go, there’s always asthma and air quality news to write about, but I’m pushing that back to Monday. Instead, I have four Asthma Mom links for you:

1. I joined Facebook awhile ago, and this morning I finally started updating my page there. Here, friend me if you like.

2. Even easier, you can follow me on Twitter now, under the user name amyanaruk.

3. Check out my newest Celsias article, “Smart Growth and Wide Open Spaces.” Here’s an excerpt:

One of the many reasons my family is moving from Northwest Florida to Denver this fall has to do with Colorado’s extensive system of trails and open space parks. Until I visited the area for the first time last July, I had never experienced the full, best-of-both-worlds effect of interweaving open green spaces – parcels of land with no buildings, improved only by playgrounds or hiking trails – with urban and residential areas. This concept is not something my portion of Florida practices.

4. Finally, remember to leave feedback or email me about the new feature.

And again, thanks for reading, commenting, and emailing all year. I appreciate every single one of you.

  1. Did I wish you a happy blogoversary? If not – Happy Blogoversary (sp?)!! Thank you :)

I’m a bit scattered lately between the Canadian election (Oct 14) and watching the US election & economic drama unfold. Our leaders debate was the same time as the VP debate in the US. Thank goodness for technology … that way I could watch about 4 hours of political TV … no wonder I am barely functional today!

  2. Hey, thanks! I didn’t realize you guys had an election coming up, too–but then, I’m probably a typically self-absorbed American. :) My brain is sort of fried, too, but that’s more a culmination of this long, LONG week.
