  1. Hi there - this is my first time on your site and it’s good to meet other people who are going through the same kind of thing - I have 7 year old boy girl twins, both asthmatic in different ways - my daughter gets the upper resp and by boy the lower. We live in Memphis, TN and they were born in January in WI - I wonder if this had anything to do with it or whether it would have happened anyway - I guess I’ll never know the answer to that. We are possibly moving to the Raleigh/Durham area of NC and I thought the air quality would be better there - I was surprised to see that Raleigh was considered average while Greensboro is in the top 10 - what do you think to our possible new location - it seems like it depends on which area of NC you are in, much like TN

  2. I actually think Greensboro can present problems for asthmatics b/c of pollens and other allergen more than pollution. I have some friends there, and one of them says hay fever season is really bad. One resource I like is Scorecard (there’s a link to them on the left under “How’s Your Air Quality” If you plug in the zip codes of areas you’re considering, you can get reports on things like air and water quality, toxic releases, and Superfund sites.

Hope that helps, and hope you stick around!

  3. Greetings:
I believe you’ve been in contact with my colleague here at WEGO Health, Marie Connelly.

I don’t want to post the information here without your permission, but I did want to let you know that our marketing department is holding a focus group on behalf of one of our advertisers and they’re looking for moms who have children between ages 4 and 12 who have asthma.

Please let me know if you’d like me to email you the rest of the details.

    Best,
    Adrienne Lavidor-Berman
